Above are some pictures I took during the trip.
On the 1st on June, the SMK Convent Butterworth's Tourism Club organised a trip to Cameron Highlands.
Eventhough I am no more the staff of SMK Convent Butterworth because I got my transfer and reported to my new school effective on 1st June 2009, but I joined this trip because the promise I made to the teachers and students.
39 students joined the trip. The students were from form 1 and 2.
It was organised by Miss Sangeetah who is incharge of the afternoon session's Tourism Club.
Miss Nalini and Miss Pamela also came along.
Miss Nalini and Miss Pamela also came along.
We left school at 7.30am by bus. Stopped at Bukit Gantang R&R. Had our breakfast there.
The next stop was at the Simpang Pulai. On the way to Cameron Highlands we experienced the change of the temperature. Getting cooler. The students were lively in the bus, talking and singing. We stopped at Ee Feng Gu Honey Bee Farm. The students went around the place. Bought fresh honey. We reached Brinchang at about 1.30pm. Had our lunch. Then visited Cactus Valley and the Big Red Strawberry Farm. There, the students' favourite meal was the chocolate strawberries. They really enjoyed it. Then we went down to Tanah Rata to visit Bharat's Tea Plantation. The view was wonderful. We tried the freshly brewed tea. Next stop was the Kasimanis Strawberry Farm. Here we enjoyed a few types of snacks made from strawberries. The students were tired, so we went to the apartment that we booked. Highlander Apartment. Reached there at about 5pm. Refresh, had dinner there. About 8pm went to the night market. Here, we saw many kinds of fresh vegetables, fruits, flowers and food. The prices were reasonable, if we can bargain. By 10pm we went back to the apartment.
On the 2nd day, we packed our things, checked out and went for breakfast. About 9am, we went to a few vegetable markets. Then we stopped at Raaju's Hill Strawberry Farm. It was because we wanted to taste and buy freshly plucked strawberries to bring back for our loved ones. We also bought some fresh strawberry jam. Next stop was the Butterfly farm. Then a few vegetable market again, to buy fresh flowers and vegetables. On the way back we stopped at Rose Valley. The last stop was at the other part of the Bharat's Tea Plantation. Took a group picture. Cannot miss to have a fresh cup of tea again. We had lunch at Tringkap before going back. On the way back the students were tired and sleepy, but they were in high spirits, singing and made fun of their friends who were sleeping. Back on the highway, we stopped at Bukit Gantang again.
Reached school at about 8.45pm. The students' parents were waiting.
I thanked the bus driver for taking and bringing us back safely, thanked the other three teachers and the students for allowing me to join their trip. I really enjoyed myself and I believe the students and teachers enjoyed themselves.
Farewell trip. A trip I will remember.
Haha.
